If you haven’t figured this out about me – I love people. Aloooooooot. I love meeting new people and becoming great friends. When I think about it, I am really not certain how Monica and I became friends. I think that it started with us running together (I say running together, I really mean Monica running way, way ahead of me) and meeting through mutual friends. Either way, I am so glad I did. We’ve become great friends and through that I have gotten to know her daughter Emmeri. She is a beautiful girl inside and out and was a blast to shoot. She connects with the camera in a way that makes you feel like you can see through her eyes and into her soul. I mean….she looks like the next Disney princess. Just wait – you’ll see what I am talking about.
I’ve known the LeFevre family since Brianne’s dad coached me in my little dribbler years (the one time in my life when my height allowed me to pretend that I had potential as a basketball player). It makes me feel very old to stop and think how what feels like just yesterday we were careless children. But it also makes me happy to see what wonderful people the LeFevre kids have grown into. You might remember Brittney and her adorable family that I shot last year. Brianne is a beautiful young lady who is going to be a teacher and is marrying a very sweet man. If they weren’t laughing during the shoot, they were cuddled up looking as cute as ever. They reflected the best in each other, and if you ask me it doesn’t get much better than that. We can’t wait to shoot their wedding at Walnut Tree this summer!
Emily was so patient with us, the weather, and our incessant need to play with flashes. I so enjoyed getting to know her. We did lots of laughing at Ryan behind his back, which is always a fun bond to share. Thanks for letting us shoot you, Emily! I hope you love these pictures for years to come. Best of luck to you in your new adventures!
Seniors are always fun to shoot. They are excited for their future and proud of all their hard work. I love getting to know them through our shoot and the days to come as we order announcements and prints. What I love even more than that is knowing a senior before we shoot. It’s so fun knowing where they were, how they have worked and where they are going. I’ve known D’Nae since she was in 4th grade when her sister and I became best friends. Your friends siblings are usually just something you have to deal with, they come with the package – but D’Nae has become a great friend to me throughout my friendship with D’Anna. I love her heart, her laugh, and her ability to make any situation a blast. I am so proud of the beautiful woman she has become and the way she has overcome obstacles in her life.
D’Nae, you are beautiful and the world is truly a better place with you in it. Thank you for letting me take your picture, and for letting me call you friend. Love you!
This girl. She worked so hard to pick out the perfect outfits and looked beautiful and confident. I was so impressed with her and so excited for me. She made our job so fun. More importantly, she has a heart of gold that you can clearly see in each one of these. I know that the future is bright for this sweet girl! Enjoy these favorites!
Give us a call, seniors! Time is running out!
There are some bands that are really great to listen to on a rainy day, some bands are best with the windows down with the warm sun on your face, some are great to sing along to. Gungor is perfect for all of the above, and more. I love them for many reasons but a few weekends ago, I found another reason to love them. They are INCREDIBLE live. I had an absolute blast with friends and my boy. I’m sure a few of you have seen these, as I tried desperately to get them to share them on their instagram…either way pretend like you’ve never seen them and enjoy
She knew there was something different about him, and he knew the same about her. Devin wasn’t just any bartender and Erin wasn’t just any girl asking him to dance. He adores everything she does, and she lights up at the sound of his name. Shooting their day, and documenting their love was a true joy.
Their first look was one of my favorites for sure. Devin’s teary hello may or may not have had me misty eyed.
Their day was perfect. I mean, we all know about Texas weather. A wedding in January that’s partially outside is a risky move – but it worked out perfectly. Mid 60′s with little wind – doesn’t get much better.
The Hotel Alsace was a beautiful venue, and Lori Matlock and Devin’s uncle Rick did an amazing job on all the decor. All white weddings make me swoon.
So adorable. Hand written by the groom, too!
And these friends know how to have a good time! Such a fun time with all of their friends!
Thank you Devin and Erin, for letting us hang out with you and document your sweet story! Wishing you all that’s wonderful, forever!
Through the weeks of stress, panic and hard work, I think it is safe to say that our first bridal show was a success! It wouldn’t have happened for us without the help of my family and friends. Between wall building, transporting, and literally sharing of their living room – I couldn’t have done any of this without their selflessness. It made me realize how I wouldn’t be anywhere without my favorite people!
Apparently, our beauty sign was a bit confusing – we got asked if we were hair stylists several times. Ryan was convinced that it was because we have such great hair, but…I’m thinking…not. **note to self – add the word photographer to the wall for next year **
These suckers were easily one of my favorite parts of our booth.
Above it all, my favorite part was definitely meeting and talking to all the wonderful brides. I really love meeting and talking to new people. Plus – newly engaged girls are like the happiest people on the planet so that’s fun.
We also had a drawing for a free photoshoot, which I had the hardest time just drawing one name because I wanted everyone to win.
Drumroll pleaassseee….and the winner is……….

For everyone we met, I can’t wait to meet and talk more with you!
