With school, photography, and life I have been running around like crazy. It’s a good crazy but still crazy. We have had so many beautiful shoots that I am excited to share! For this minute, I will share a teaser of them with full posts to come soon!
First up, MY BROTHER’S WEDDING! Such a sweet weekend it was. I love my brother so much and was thrilled to see he and Jessica say, I do. She’s perfect for him, and I do mean perfect. My husband did a WONDERFUL job on this wedding – while I was trying to be a sister, bridesmaid and a photographer.
Then there was the beautiful Wilson family… can’t wait to share more of these!
And the gorgeous Laiken….seriously it’s killing me not to post all 100 of these…
Come back soon for full posts on all of these beautiful people (I promise it’ll be soon).
I am incredibly high maintenance. It’s something I have denied for many years – but now I have finally come to terms with it. Anndi is a girl after my own heart. I loved how much she cared about her shoot. We met at my favorite coffee shop (the Brew) and she talked in great detail about each outfit she had and what location she thought would be best. She was down for any idea I had and was incredibly patient. Besides all of those things, she was incredible in front of the camera. She radiated confidence and beauty. So much fun to shoot!
Anndi started of senior season with a bang and I can’t wait to continue shooting all of the graduates. This is such a fun time in their lives and I love getting to be a part of it.
If you looked up fun in the dictionary, the example would me Todd and Meg Reynolds. They are the kind of people that are always laughing, and telling funny stories. We used to have coffee with them once and week and life got in the way and we haven’t had a chance to get back in that routine – but I left their home Saturday with my calendar in mind wondering when we could start it up again.
I got to meet their sweet baby girl – Libby, for the first time on Saturday and just oohed and awwed (in my head of course – no one likes a creepy baby photographer) until I couldn’t anymore.
I mean, who wouldn’t?!
Rachel and Jake could not have been more in love. Every time he saw her, he told her how beautiful she was. She teared up and sunk into his arms. His excitement to love her was obvious. Her happiness to be with him was contagious. Rachel was so involved in every second – that not a sweet moment could slip by without her experiencing it. In an event that is usually so stressful, it was refreshing to have a bride that was so present in the day. Jake was just smitten, every minute he was with Rachel.
Rachel loved First Looks even more than I do! She had one with her dad and her brother – it was such a sweet moment.
And Rachel’s bouquet? Gorgeous!
For the sign in table, they literally had a table that you sign…very cute!
Southern Elegance did a beautiful job (as always) with the decor in the church. Rather than flowers, chandeliers were placed throughout the isles – it was very elegant and simple.
The details at the reception could not have been more perfect. I loved how every space (and car) was used to repesent Jake and Rachel while also being unique.
Yes, that is a wagon wheel with mason jars and sunflower bouquets. So cool.
Thank you for letting us be a small part to your special day – wishing you all the best!
It may be the teacher in me. It may be that my birthday is in August. I don’t know what it is exactly but I love this time of year. It feels so exciting and new with everyone going back to school and routines beginning again. To celebrate the fun (well I say fun…summer is almost gone meaning I have to give up sleeping in and my new found love of yoga class…) I wanted to offer a special. Whether you need a few pictures of your kids, family, or just want to get dressed up for fun – this is a great deal.
Call or e-mail us today to get yours booked before August 31st!
On another note, I have a beautiful bride and wedding to share with you. Rachel was just gorgeous and Southern Elegance did it again – they represented Rachel and Jake perfectly with their decor and unique ideas.

Most couples can smile for a picture. Most couples can kiss for a picture. Most couples can cuddle up nicely for a picture. Not all couples can laugh with each other like there is no one else around for a picture. During our shoot, I felt as if there were times when Devin and Erin weren’t paying attention to me, or the sound of my incessant shutter… it was only the two of them. The way they would laugh together was beautiful. Their love was obvious and pure. It was a joy to capture, and the fact that they are gorgeous was also very fun.
I can’t wait for their Austin wedding in January! Thanks for spending the say with us and letting us have a small part in this special time in your lives!
Bridals Friday night. Color Fun Freedom Run Saturday morning. Bridals Saturday afternoon. Family Pictures Saturday evening. Engagement Pictures Saturday night.
Needless to say, I felt a little like the Beetles in Hamburg this weekend (go read Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell right now…well finish this first….then go). But it was 8 hours well spent.
I was overwhelmed with how much I love my job this weekend. With every shoot I had I laughed at least 90 minutes of the 120 we were together. I am so blessed by each one of my clients. You would think that after 5 years of doing this, I would get immune to how awesome they all are but I haven’t, and hope I never do.
Unfortunately, I can’t share the gorgeous brides I got to shoot this weekend, but I can share an adorable engagement and family shot from last night.
The Color Fun Freedom Run was a huge success and a blast to shoot. If you haven’t done one of these runs, I highly recommend it – they are so fun!
